Job summary

 As a member of our Business Development Team, you will be directly responsible for driving the sale of ELAP's innovative healthcare cost containment services.  In this role, you will implement strategies to sell our products and services through the broker distribution channel within a defined geographic territory. 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Build, maintain and enhance strong producer relationships though superior product knowledge, territory management and excellent sales and customer service skills
  • Develop and maintain a pipeline of opportunities
  • Qualify, develop and close new business within your assigned territory
  • Exhibit fluency in the identification and delivery of value at each stage of the prospects' decision-making process
  • Achieve personal sales goals through the positioning of ELAP's offerings
  • Develop and execute sales presentations/pitches aligned with marketing program
  • Develop and maintain internal/external relationships throughout all levels of an organization

Required Education and Experience

  • Undergraduate college degree (all disciplines considered) or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 3-5 year's sales experience selling within a brokerage distribution channel
  • Experience selling health insurance products or other employer sponsored benefit plans
  • Experience in business development in a high-growth, service-oriented industry
  • SalesForce experience preferred

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced entrepreneurial company and a fast-evolving market
  • Proven ability to present, negotiate and close sales at Executive Level
  • Understanding of ACA and its impact on employers, insurers, TPAs and care providers
  • An understanding of TPAs, PPOs and other participants in healthcare service delivery and reimbursement/payers preferred
  • Excellent problem solving, negotiation, persuasion and time management skills
  • Excellent relationship building skills
  • Ability to effectively utilize technology, marketing tools and the support infrastructure
  • Ability to travel frequently
